Corrections and Updates

Wildlife rehabilitation permit requirements change regularly. If you've noticed information on this site that is out of date or incorrect — a fee that's changed, a training requirement that's been updated, a form number that's different — please email us with the details and a source (a link to the current agency page is most helpful). We review and update content based on verified corrections.

What We Cannot Help With

We are an informational resource, not a wildlife agency or legal service. We cannot help with specific permit applications, advise on individual situations, or make recommendations about animal care for specific animals you've found. For those needs:

  • Contact your state wildlife agency directly for permit application questions
  • Contact the NWRA (nwrawildlife.org) or IWRC (theiwrc.org) for professional guidance
  • For injured wildlife in your area, search your state name + "wildlife rehabilitation" to find a licensed rehabilitator near you

Response Time

We aim to respond to all inquiries within 3–5 business days. During spring and summer (peak wildlife season), response times may be longer.
